The hotel is quite nice and the location it’s situated in is complimentary. Very pricey for late dinner but that’s okay, the bar has a lovely selection of all sorts of alcohol so cannot fault that. Standard breakfast here though, no buffet. Room was clean, tidy, nice and simple really! The bathroom was like walking into a different modern age though in comparison to the rooms.

After a cross-country drive of 250 miles the royal hotel was a welcome sight, staff were very friendly and very helpful The rooms were spotlessly clean, The beds were very comfortable wish you could have stayed there a few more nights. Evening meal was fantastic and the choices of wines and spirits was brilliant. We will be definitely be back

I booked this hotel at the last minute to visit a friend from Ullapool. They had last minute availability for a triple which was perfect. The room is very traditional Scottish old school style but with touches of modern everywhere. Rooms were very clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Most of all a spectacular view across the loch. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Great welcome. Fabulous seafood on both the evening and breakfast menus. Service is superb even when busy. Best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. We discovered the paths up the hillside behind the hotel and had a hike to build an appetite for dinner. Highly recommended.

Rooms were updated, bathroom shower was great. We really enjoyed a ocean room roof top patio. We slept with the door open and could hear the wind, birds, and water and added a lovely breeze. The staff was super friendly and eager to please. Dinner and breakfast were very good. We would stay again.

Beautiful hotel, elegant note, rooms with a splendid view, enough space. The restaurant has quality food. The fish is very good, the stew, the langustines...and desert... When traveling in lourge groups- 11 in mine case the salmon for breakfast was not available for all. Also room 1 with a splendid view has a small noisy due to the entrance door that can be heard every time someone enters or exits. Better take room 2.

Had a lovely meal here last week in the fabulous restaurant. Staff very engaging. Spent the rest of the evening in the bar talking to staff, enjoying the atmosphere with a few of the great selection of Whiskeys on offer. We wish you a good 2025

I stayed here overnight to catch the ferry to Harris. Beautiful rooms, and a great breakfast. Had dinner the evening I arrived, and the restaurant was full. Food was delicious. I don't know for sure, but I feel like this may be an older building. You can't tell, the upgrades and improvements are very nice and tasteful. This was one of the most comfortable "twin" rooms that my friend and I booked for our vacation. Would definitely stay here again and use the hotel as a base to explore the area further.
